Four finalists and the best Swiss Gamay for Geneva!
Grand Prix du Vin Suisse prizes are awarded at a gala evening in Bern attended by 400 people from throughout the wine world.
Leukersonne winery in Susten, Valais, won the prestigious title of “Swiss winery of the Year”.
Very good results for the Geneva delegation with Bernard Vuagnat’s Clos de la Donzelle in Dardagny named the best Gamay in Switzerland for its Damoiseau 2022 !
Domaine des Curiades in Lully, the Dupraz family, had three wines nominated for the finals and went to the podium twice, taking third place in the red blends category, for its Esprit de Genève wine, as well as taking second place in the sweet wines category for Nectar.
Lionel Dugerdil from Clos du Château in Choully won third in the treasured Syrah category for his 2021 Syrah.
Geneva as a whole did very well in this 17th Grand Prix du Vin Suisse: 23 gold medals and 32 silver among the 2,740 wines from all of Switzerland’s wine-producing cantons.
